As Disturbed puts the wraps on 2008, the nu-metal rockers are already making plans for their next outing to support their latest album, "Indestructible."

The bandmates, who are set to finish their current North American jaunt next week, will jump into the New Year with a 27-date tour that kicks off Jan. 16 in Milwaukee and visits US cities from coast to coast through late February. Details are listed below.

Earlier this month, Disturbed scored its first Grammy nomination: Best Hard Rock Performance for the song "Inside The Fire," which is the lead single from June's "Indestructible." The album bowed at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and remained in the Top 10 for five weeks.

The set is the band's third consecutive No. 1, following 2002's "Believe" and 2005's "Ten Thousand Fists," making Disturbed one of only six rock bands in history to score three consecutive chart-topping studio-album debuts, according to a press release. The title track from "Indestructible" is currently tearing up the mainstream- and modern-rock charts, and is streaming at Disturbed's MySpace page.

The self-produced album is the rockers' fourth studio effort, which they describe as their darkest and angriest yet.

"We wanted to get back to some of the elements that were maybe lacking on the last two records," guitarist Dan Donegan said in Disturbed's bio. "[Frontman David Draiman has] got a great ability to sing really melodically, but we wanted him to get back to the rhythmic, animalistic, rapid-fire delivery he's known for. He's very hard to touch when he does that, and we wanted to give him music to provoke that."

Fans will get a chance to witness that rock intensity in live form later this month when Disturbed releases the "Indestructible In Germany" DVD, which captures a six-song performance at the Rock Am Ring festival. The set will be available exclusively at Best Buy stores beginning Dec. 28.

Disturbed formed in Chicago in 1996 and has gone on to sell 10 million albums worldwide, according to a press release. The band's 2000 debut, "The Sickness," was recently certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
