Disturbed Frontman Supports Barack Obama

DisturbedPresidential hopeful Barack Obama now has heavy metal on his side - Disturbed frontman David Draiman has pledged his support to the Democrat.

Just days after Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen added their weight to the Obama campaign by publicly supporting the senator for President, Draiman admits he's so inspired by his choice he'll actually vote this year after ignoring the past two elections.

Draiman says, "He is more intelligent, better educated, better speaking and certainly more of a warrior than President (George W.) Bush ever was and ever will be."

But the rocker admits the smart money is on Obama's Republican challenger, Senator John McCain: "I'm rather sceptical as to whether or not Obama will actually win the presidency. I still hope for it, and to be perfectly honest with you, if it comes down to it and he does have the candidacy, he's getting my vote.

"I think that this may be a necessary building block... I think that seeing as much support as somebody like Obama as a black candidate running for president in a country that historically has had issues with the African-American people, and them having issues vice-versa, is a miraculous thing.

"And the charisma that he has and his propensity to unify people from all walks of life is a truly admirable and beautiful trait. I think that that's kind of the person that we need to rectify our (America) image on the world stage as well."

Draiman admits he cannot support Obama's fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton, who is also fighting for the chance to become the next U.S. president.

He adds, "I think she's an embarrassment to herself and everything she represents. I think that she's a two-faced liar... She's a true politician."
