TAMPA - Six of the best bands in rock music today take the stage when 98ROCK presents 98ROCKEST on Friday, April 10, at the St. Pete Times Forum. Gates open at 6 p.m.

A free outdoor stage on the plaza starts things off at 2 p.m. with some of the hottest newcomers on the scene. Beer and food will be available.

The tentative schedule is: Adelita’s Way, 2:15 to 2:35 p.m.; Uncrowned, 2:50 to 3:20 p.m.; Cavo, 3:45 to 4:25 p.m.; and Nonpoint, 4:50 to 5:45 p.m.
The main attraction features Disturbed, Staind, Chevelle, Static X, Saliva, Hollywood Undead along with Duff McKagan's Loaded on the Main Stage inside the Forum.

The tentative schedule is: Halestorm, 6:20 to 6:40 p.m.; Hollywood Undead, 6:50 to 7:10 p.m.; Saliva, 7:25 to 7:50 p.m.; Static X, 8:10 to 8:35 p.m.; Chevelle, 8:55 to 9:30 p.m.; Staind, 9:50 to 10:30 p.m.; Disturbed, 10:55 to midnight.

Nearly a decade after the release of their groundbreaking debut, The Sickness, Disturbed have become one of the most passionate and well-respected bands in the hard-rock universe, a dependable source not only of pummeling riffs and jackhammer beats, but of personal and political insights into our troubled times.

Yet success (in the form of three platinum-plus albums, with both Believe and Ten Thousand Fists topping Billboard’s album chart and over nine million albums sold) hasn’t dulled this Chicago-based foursome’s taste for adventure. If anything, Disturbed’s loyal fanbase has pushed the band to newer heights of self-expression.
