The pen may be mightier than the sword, but if you're going to wield music as a weapon, you might want something a little heavier than a Bic.

Jackhammer double-bass drums, walls of amplifiers cranked to 11, lead singers barking lyrics like drill sergeants - that's more like it.

Disturbed peforms Saturday night in the Sovereign Center.

The Music as a Weapon IV tour stopped by Reading this weekend, starting Saturday afternoon outside of the Sovereign Center and ending nine hours later inside of it.

"Can you feel yourselves becoming more powerful with each passing moment, people?" David Dramain, singer of festival headliner Disturbed, asked the packed center. "Are you ready to let this night, this music forge you into the weapons?!"

Yes, yes they were.
