Ever since they debuted in 2000 with the release of The Sickness, quartet Disturbed has become one of the premier groups in modern rock. Consisting of David Draiman (vocals), Dan Donegan (guitar), John Moyer (bass) and Mike Wengren (drums), Disturbed recently released their fourth album Indestructible on June 3, 2008, becoming their angriest, darkest effort to date. Inspired by "life experience," Indestructible saw the band taking the reigns over the recording process of the album, opting to self-produce the disc instead of handing over the duties to an outside producer. The resulting album is one of Disturbed's most focused efforts to date, powered by choice cuts like the anti-war tune "Indestructible" and the mentally anguished "Perfect Insanity," making for a raucous yet introspective batch of hard-hitting tunes.

Disturbed has been on a never-ending string of tour dates since the album dropped last year, bringing their music to nearly every corner of the world. But at some point during their U.S. tour, lead singer David Draiman hopped on the phone to chat with Kiwibox Editor Steven, reflecting on why they waited this long in their career to get as angry as they do on Indestructible, why he'll always be anti-war (even in the current political climate), whether or not David keeps a journal, if they plan on self-producing their albums in the future, why losing their Grammy didn't hurt their pride as a band, how they came up with the concept for their Bootleg Series, how long they usually wait after going on tour to begin the writing for their next album and what else we can expect from them in the near future. >>>Listen Here<<<
