DISTURBED SURPRISED OVER GRAMMY NOD

Disturbed are one of the more consistently solid hard rock acts going, but they are celebrating their first ever GRAMMY nomination this year. Singer David Draiman notes that he was on the band’s bus watching CNN when guitarist Dan Donegan came aboard and delivered the news. Draiman says, quote, “I thought he was pranking me. I thought it was a joke. The singer says that receiving a nomination after a decade-plus in music was unbelievable to him because they’ve been overlooked in the past. The singer says, quote, “I’m equally worried to be up against such stiff competition,” naming off Rob Zombie, Judas Priest, and Motley Crue from their category. He adds, quote, “I think it’s very gratifying and humbling to be in such powerful company.” The group’s “Inside The Fire” single will vie for the Best Hard Rock Performance GRAMMY. Be sure to tune in to CBS Sunday, February 8th at 8:00PM for the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards.
