DISTURBED DISCUSSES WHAT GOES INTO PICKING ACTS FOR A TOUR

Disturbed are no strangers to putting together a tour, and Music As A Weapon is definitely a successful venture for them. Singer David Draiman says that a lot of factors go into deciding who will take part. The vocalist says their agent usually compiles a list of bands who are interested in taking part and then they weed it down to what their preferred acts are. According to Draiman, financial and label concerns play a role, but ultimately it comes down to whether or not Disturbed likes the bands suggested for the trek. Draiman says, quote, “We’re very very happy to have Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, and Chimaira. It’s going to be a very strong, strong lineup.” The vocalist says he’s also excited about some new opportunities with sponsors that have allowed the festival to expand to include extreme sports exhibitions, tattoo artists, and multimedia components. Disturbed’s “Music As A Weapon” trek begins March 20th in Madison, Wisconsin.
